Retired Adult Placement Agreement - Version 1, October 18, 2026 * 1. Adult companion placement
The cat is placed as a companion only and is already spayed or neutered before going home.2. Price, reservation and pickup
The agreed price, reservation payment, balance and pickup date must be recorded before acceptance. Any reservation fee is applied to the price and is non-refundable if Buyer cancels, except as required by law or the health terms below. Seller refunds all payments if Seller cancels before transfer. Balance is due before or at pickup by cash or an approved electronic transfer; no credit cards. Delays or boarding charges require written agreement. Ownership transfers after full payment and delivery.3. Medical disclosure and records
Seller will provide available veterinary records and disclose all known medical conditions, medications, dental concerns, prior procedures, relevant test results, and known behavior or litter-box concerns before Buyer signs. Record 'none known' when appropriate, and identify any unavailable records. A negative genetic test does not guarantee that a cat will never develop disease. Buyer acknowledges only disclosures actually supplied and listed in this agreement.4. Initial veterinary examination and health protection
Buyer must arrange an examination by a licensed veterinarian within 48 hours after pickup. If no appointment is available, Buyer must notify Seller within that period and agree in writing on the earliest available appointment. A serious condition making the cat unfit for placement, present at transfer and not disclosed and accepted before signing, must be reported to Seller within 72 hours after pickup with the examining veterinarian's written findings. If examination timing was extended in writing, notice is due within 24 hours after that examination. Seller may obtain a second veterinary opinion without delaying necessary care. If the condition is confirmed, Buyer may return the cat when medically safe for a refund of the purchase price, including the reservation payment. Alternatively, both parties may agree in writing on another remedy. Buyer normally pays examination and treatment costs unless otherwise agreed or required by law; never delay urgent care. These voluntary terms do not restrict rights or remedies required by applicable law.5. Adult health limitations
No separate one-year genetic guarantee is included unless both parties expressly add one in writing. Disclosed conditions accepted before signing are not covered by the voluntary initial-health refund for undisclosed conditions. New illnesses, injuries or age-related changes arising after transfer are not covered by that voluntary protection unless a veterinarian confirms they meet the preceding section. This does not excuse nondisclosure or limit rights required by law.6. Daily care and adjustment
Buyer will provide quality food, fresh water, clean litter facilities, grooming, enrichment, safe housing and appropriate veterinary care. Keep the cat indoors; outdoor access is limited to a secure enclosed catio or a harness under direct supervision. No declawing. Provide a quiet transition space and gradual introductions. Adult cats may need time to adjust; affection and compatibility with children or other animals cannot be guaranteed. Seek veterinary advice for illness or concerning behavior.7. If Buyer cannot keep the cat
Buyer must contact Seller before selling, transferring, giving away or surrendering the cat. Seller and Buyer will arrange return or a mutually approved placement in writing, prioritizing the cat's safety. Do not abandon the cat or surrender it to a shelter or rescue without first allowing Seller a reasonable opportunity to assist. A voluntary return for changed circumstances does not automatically entitle Buyer to a refund.8. Included items and support
Included items are the available health records, written medical and behavior disclosures, and ongoing breeder support. Registration documents, microchip status, food, supplies, insurance eligibility and any additional items must be specifically listed in the cat-specific details. No kitten-only package or insurance benefit is promised by this agreement.9. Agreement and electronic signing
Seller is Majestic Maine Coon Cats. Buyer confirms being at least 18 and having read the complete agreement and the listed disclosures. Both parties consent to electronic records and signatures and may retain a copy. By checking the agreement box and typing a full legal name in the signature field, Buyer intends to sign electronically. This agreement takes effect only after Seller confirms the cat-specific details and accepts it by signature or written email. Changes require written acceptance by both parties. Applicable law governs; no term waives non-waivable legal rights. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law.
